The Latest WhatsApp Update: Setting Favorites in Chats and Calls

WhatsApp has announced a new update that allows users to set certain contacts as favorites in their chats and calls. This new feature enables users to easily access and organize the people they frequently contact at the top of their screens in WhatsApp.

Improving Chat and Call Organization

With this update, users can now save their frequently contacted chats under the favorites filter, making it easier to find and access them quickly. This feature is aimed at helping users better organize their conversations on the instant messaging platform.

Users can add contacts to their favorites by simply selecting the favorites filter in the Chats tab and choosing the contacts or groups they wish to save. In the Calls tab, users have the option to set favorites by selecting the ‘Add favorites’ option and choosing the desired contacts. This allows for quick and convenient access to the most important conversations.

To manage contacts saved as favorites, users can head over to Settings > Favorites > Add to Favorites. From there, they can easily manage or reorder the contacts saved as favorites, ensuring that the most relevant conversations remain at the top for quick access.

Availability and Rollout

WhatsApp has stated that this new feature is being introduced starting today and will be available to users in the coming weeks. However, it is important to note that the availability of this feature may vary depending on the device and operating system. Gadgets 360 staff members were unable to verify the availability of the feature on both WhatsApp for Android and iOS, suggesting that the rollout may be phased.

The introduction of the new favorites feature in WhatsApp is aimed at improving the organization and accessibility of chats and calls for users. By allowing users to set certain contacts as favorites, WhatsApp is providing a convenient way to keep important conversations at the forefront of the messaging platform. Moving forward, users can look forward to a more streamlined experience when accessing their most frequently contacted chats and calls.
