WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new dedicated video note mode for the camera interface on both Android and iOS platforms. This feature would allow users to easily record and share video notes directly from the camera, making the process more seamless and efficient.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature tracker, the video note mode was spotted in a beta version of the app on both Android and iOS platforms. It is said to appear alongside the existing Video and Photo options in the camera interface. On Android, the beta version is noted to be 2.24.14.14, while on iOS, it can be found in version 24.13.10.76.
The introduction of Instant Video Notes in 2023 was a game changer for WhatsApp users, allowing them to send quick 60-second video messages directly in chat. With the addition of a dedicated video notes tab in the camera interface, the platform is speculated to further enhance the user experience and make sharing video notes even easier.
Aside from the dedicated video note mode, WhatsApp is also rumored to be developing new AI features. One such feature, called ‘Imagine Me,’ may allow users to generate images of themselves through prompts. This feature, spotted in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.14.13 update, could revolutionize the way users interact with the app.
While these new features are exciting, it is important to note that not all users may have access to them yet. At the time of writing, Gadgets 360 staff members were unable to verify the availability of the dedicated video note mode on WhatsApp beta for Android. As with any new features, it may take some time before they are rolled out to all users.
Overall, the potential introduction of a dedicated video note mode in WhatsApp’s camera interface holds promise for improving user experience and making it easier to share video messages. With the platform constantly testing and developing new features, users can look forward to more exciting updates in the future.
